Review of Lambert's Cafe in Sikeston, MO: The Only Home of Throwed Rolls

By

I have eaten at Lambert's multiple times now and each time is a treat. Lambert's has an old style, laid back atmosphere with music and plenty of seating. I have never had to wait very long to be seated and the food is always good. The only thing that I can complain about is the price of eating at lamberts, be prepared to spend $20+ between meal, drink, and tip.

When you walk in lamberts you will notice they have a variety of old time objects as well as a few games in the entrance, as well as a picture booth. The games include the quarter push and the claw to win a stuffed animal. Shortly after being seated you should be presented with our ice cold drinks in large plastic mugs. While waiting for your food you can eat a couple of the pass around such as throwed rolls and fried okra. On your throwed roll you can put butter, sorghum, honey or even apple butter on it.

There are plenty of paper towels and silverware at each table incase you are the messy type. You will notice the walls are covered with things such as license plates from around the world and of various dates. Once you have your food, you can enjoy other various pass arounds such as fried potatos and onions, macaroni and tomatoes, and black eyed peas. The portions are always large and the employees are always friendly. If you have anything left over from your main meal, you can request a doggy bag. If you leave Lambert's hungry it is your fault as there is plenty to eat.

Lambert's seems to be a good place to bring the family including kids. The dress code at Lambert's is casual, so there is no need to dress up. They have a variety of food items that you can purchase to bring home. From frog legs to ribs or chicken, there is something for everyone to eat at Lambert's. I would recommend everyone to eat at Lambert's at least once, as it is a worthwhile experience. I would definately eat there more often if it were closer and a little cheaper in cost.
